BPA is a health risk, FDA warns
The FDA is in a tough spot -- they won't recommend elimination of BPA b/c the "science" isn't there to protect them from industry lawsuits.

BPA, an estrogen inhibitor, in conjunction with all the other toxic exposures, will add up. How many of you store away those kidney beans, whole tomatoes and tomato sauce in a can? Cans, lined with epoxy resin include BPA -- the BPA hardens the plastic in the liner. BPA is used in rigid and flexible plastics and it's everywhere. Start by tossing your water bottles labled with a 7. Next, if you don't want to waste the food, give it to a friend who doesn't believe in toxin accumulation :) -- u know who you are. Or to your friends who smoke...

Hain Celestial, Heinz and Nestle have agreed to phase out BPA in some of their product lines. Which one? I don't know -- can't find any real information. Trader Joe's has BPA in their cans although they tell that they don't. Follow this link for more on Trader Joe's:
