She is raising children on her "Student Loans"

I know this will stir up controversy but I really feel sorry for these children. I feel this woman has been completely irresponsible. It angers me greatly that some of our enlisted families (who work very hard) need food stamps to survive, yet this woman with no job or visable means of support continues to have children she can't possibly hope to care for. Your thoughts?

Octuplets' mom Nadya Suleman has said on TV that she wanted lots of kids to make up for the lack of connection she felt as a child. How about the deprivation her 14 kids are gonna feel, growing up on food stamps and disability assistance?

It turns out that Nadya (surprise!) receives $490 a month in food stamps. To make matters even worse, three of her older six kids are disabled and receive federal assistance, her publicist confirmed Monday night.

Suleman's spokesman Michael Furtney said Suleman doesn't want to disclose the nature of the disabilities or the kind or amount of her payments. Furtney confirmed the aid after the The Times reported that Suleman was receiving food stamps and federal supplemental security income.

"In her view these are just payments made for people with legitimate needs and are not, in her view, welfare," Furtney said. "She just believes that there are programs for people with needs, and she and her children qualify for some of them."

It's cavalier and harsh for a parent to use children as a means to an end. A shrink might've been a better investment since it's also covered by insurance.
