There has been a marked increase in the use of motorized scooters in Federal buildings (e.g. Rascals). My question to the scooter riders is, "Do you ride a scooter because you are overweight or are you overweight because you ride a scooter?"I have never seen a healthy weight person on a scooter. It makes me wonder how the person became confined to the scooter. Is it their body finally said, "enough is enough, I can't take this extra weight?"
Sadly, Pixar's vision of America in the movie WALL-E is slowly becoming reality.
